2021 EDITION<br>Latin America is a region with which, as a platform and festival, we have always had a close friendship and exchange. However, it is a vast, diverse and agitated region that invites new meetings and joint reflections. After the sociopolitical processes convulsing throughout the region in recent years, we have considered it important to redirect our gaze to Latin America within the special framework of 'International Curators' and 'Professional Meetings' of this new edition, generating special attention, although not exclusively , to countries and/or contexts of little visibility in the artistic ecosystem. The 'International Curatorships' led by invited Latin American curators/institutions/artists/researchers will facilitate an approach to the region and specifically to these often peripheral contexts within the hegemony of the Latin American and international art scene. The 'Professional Meetings' promise a discussion table where these curators will be reviewed and the Latin American video art scene, its discourses, obstacles, economies, markets and others, understood at the intersection with the agitated sociopolitical and economic processes that have fervently emerged in various parts of the region in recent years, as well as the current implications of the pandemic. We find voices that emerge from the heart of the new civilization, from the present and vivid news. Latin America walks awake and advances in the growth and maturation of its towns and cities, of its freedoms and claims. His voice sprouts, springs that we find made light in movement, pieces of video art/experimental video/documentary, which together open a window to the landscape that blooms and germinates, to the time we inhabit and as lived, we shelter. López&amp;nbsp;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/a&gt;(per)&lt; b&gt;.&lt;/b&gt;These curators will allow attendees to become aware of the relationship between the geographical context, the political and social situation and their influence on video art.
